Mistakes to avoid when making Money Online

Have you ever heard of a webmaster saying that their website is getting thousands of visitors every day but making only a few bucks daily?
Well, there must be something wrong with their websites. Massive number of visitors daily but small money? They must have some website mistakes. I'm pretty sure you don't want to become one of them, spending most of their time generating traffic, submitting links but in the end earning a little.

To make money online, you must properly optimize your site and avoid mistakes in your site. Below are the points to consider to avoid mistakes in your website:

1. JavaScript pop ups - JavaScript popup are notification windows that automatically appears when you visit a website. I’m pretty sure that you have encountered a lot of these pop ups. It’s a message box with an “OK” button at the end. Before, Pop ups are very popular but quickly became a no-no because they are annoying web visitors. Usually pop ups are not important. Well,it seems like pop ups do nothing but disturb visitors! However, if you have an important message that is needed to be displayed, a JavaScript pop up could still be a good idea, but I strongly advise you not to overuse it.

2. Outdated content - You should remove information and contents that are already outdated or no longer useful. Update your website when you found the latest information you think your visitors will like to read. Search engines and web visitors both like fresh ideas. You should consider publishing new articles on an ongoing basis these may increase your traffic and increase your profit.

3. Too many graphics and pictures - Too many graphics and photos to your site can slow your website loading. It is common to visitors not to wait too long to get into a site, if your site takes a minute to load then you lose. Some of the web visitors are still using dial-up connection, which means they will have trouble downloading websites that have large number of graphics.

4. High contracting colors – Yes, High contracting colors would grab the visitor’s attention but it can also hurt their eyes, making them uncomfortable makes them leave your website. You need to limit the use of high contracting colors. Website background should be simple and plain. Texts should be contradicted to the backgrounds color. You can use contracting colors to your sites title and headline to catch your visitor’s attention.

5. Clutter up pages – Confusion from too much content, I’m sure you’ve experienced this before. Looking for information but that information is hard to find and you have to go through other pages but still it can’t be found. If your visitors got confused they will definitely leave your site. If the visitor thinks that they have to weed out useless information to find what they really need then you will surely lose that visitor. Don’t have too much information and content on one page. A good navigation system in your website will surely eliminate this problem.

6) Too many ads on your website – Visitors usually are looking for information and not ads. A website that has many ads and less content will definitely drive visitors away. You need to maintain a balance between your ads and content that’s on your site. The irony of the situation is: A visitor is more likely to click on an advertisement link if they do not feel that they are being bombarded by them. This is a situation where the saying “less is more” is true.

You can earn more money online if you have avoided these mistakes. Other websites are actually good but they lack cautiousness. Now that you’ve read this I’m pretty sure you can achieve your goal in no time. Large traffic to your site simply means fast money, big profit and makes earning money online easy

Thanks for sharing such useful information.I think a lot of us tend to make these mistakes as we focus too much on monetization and not content. Thanks for the reminder.
